Some things are better left to the professionals, even when it comes to food, or so I thought.

My fear of creating foods at home has to do with my trepidation of the unknown and not having faith in my cooking abilities. When it comes to pizza, what’s easier than taking it out of the box and putting it in the oven, why would I want to challenge that system? I’m just that kind of girl, go my own way, create my own path and finally I’ve created my own pizza.

To test out the crusts we purchased three different brands and made three different pizzas, one for each of us.

Next time we’re going to make our own marina just to try it, along with making the crust from scratch with a yeast packet. We’ll continue to buy the cheese and pepperoni, don’t want to make everything from scratch!

The total cost for all three pizza’s was $8.75. Well worth the time and effort, both for the pocketbook and the pallet!
Love your pizza test, we make pizza at home now and then. I told Kathy about your test, we will try Betty Crocker crust next time. We are black olive and mushroom pizza fans, with lotsa cheese! Say hi to Mitch and Pop. Alan and Kathy Z
That’s great to hear! Thanks. Let us know if you find a better crust and we’ll try it too! Take care.
